| Technical Documentation Specialist |
Technical Documentation Specialist is primarily responsible for creating, updating and the ongoing content management of service manuals and other technical documentation required by the service organization. Technical documentation supports service centers, technicians and our own technical support staff for both existing and new products.

LOUD Technologies (formerly Mackie Designs, EAW, etc.).) is searching for a Technical Documentation Specialist to join our amazing Service Team. This position is primarily responsible for creating, updating and the ongoing content management of service manuals and other technical documentation required by the service organization. Technical documentation supports service centers, technicians and our own technical support staff for both existing and new products. This position reports to the Service Delivery Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Gather service documentation information from Agile, our OEM suppliers and other sources to produce service manuals and service bullets
- Write text and create illustrations related to the technical document being created
- Convert all service documentation files into proper format for use with service manuals
- Layout service manuals according to LOUD templates and styles
- Work with marketing for approval of service documentation
- Edit and regularly update existing service documentation as required
- Back-up files as needed and create final disks for printer and archiving
- Create high quality PDF's for website posting and distribution
- Assist in production of any other technical documentation as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two year Technical Degree and/or two years working experience in technical writing or technical support
- Comprehensive knowledge of electronic product manufacturing and service
- Experience in writing and following technical instructions such as electronic test procedures, repair, safety instructions and ESD instructions for service repair technicians
- Good working knowledge of what a service technician may need to know to repair products
- Experience with Adobe: InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat and Photoshop as well as Microsoft Suite
- Knowledge of PADS and AutoCad software
- Physical ability to sit for extended amount of times at a computer
- Extremely organized with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- A positive, great sense of humor and a team-oriented attitude are musts!
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Superior professional ethics
- Highly motivated with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team

This position is primarily responsible for developing professional audio products for the Mackie and EAW brands. This role requires high level and detailed design of embedded digital systems. The Design Engineer will work with product design teams and will play an integral role in the product development process.

LOUD Technologies (formerly Mackie Designs, EAW, etc.) is searching for a Design Engineer, Level 2 to join our fabulous Engineering Team! This position is primarily responsible for developing professional audio products for the Mackie and EAW brands. This role requires high level and detailed design of embedded digital systems. The Design Engineer will work with product design teams and will play an integral role in the product development process. This position will work under the directive and supervision of the Lead Engineer, Ditial Group.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- High-speed (>100MHz) digital hardware design
- Mixed signal hardware design (analog/digital converters, etc)
- Embedded microprocessor programming and debug (8 and 32-bit, C & assembly)
- Assist with product definition, feasibility, cost-studies, manufacturing introduction support, validation testing, and ongoing sustaining engineering
- FPGA and CPLD design
- Analog circuit design
- Device driver development
- GUI development
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BSEE (4-year degree) or equivalent
- At least one year working experience as a design engineer
- Experience with a standard schematic capture program
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read and write English, C and one assembly language
- Experience with a standard microprocessor family from 8-bit to 32-bit
- Proven ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to multi-task
