Location: Whitinsville, MA

 

Essential Functions:

·          Responsible for creating mechanical detail drawings of speaker components per sketches and verbal instructions from engineering staff in support of new product development and on-going production.

 

·          Responsible for operating CAD (computer-aided design) tools to produce quality mechanical drawings under general direction of department manager in a fast-paced environment.

 

·          Responsible for implementing all types of Engineering Change Orders (ECO’s) using product data management tools (Agile/Oracle) in accordance with established departmental standards and procedures.

 

·          May be assigned routine data entry tasks and other clerical duties as required.

 

 

Job Scope:

Responsible for performing routine drafting and documentation functions per department guidelines including the processing of completed work and creation of department standards as required. Failure to adhere to the established guidelines may result in both manufacturing delays and financial loss if inaccurate or incomplete data is sent to a supplier.

 

Interpersonal Contacts:

Must be a team-oriented individual with good interpersonal skills who can work well with peers and members of other departments when required.

 

Specific Job Skills:

·          Working knowledge of industry standards for mechanical drafting and documentation with minimum of 1 year work related experience.

·          Must be computer literate with a working knowledge of Computer-Aided-Drafting (CAD) tools. Pro E is required.

 

Education and/or Experience:

High School diploma and/or technical school training required in mechanical drafting technology.
