Mackie Designs Inc. Announces Shipping of SR56•8 Large-Format Console

April 13, 1998 – Woodinville, WA – Mackie Designs Inc. (Nasdaq:MKIE) today announced the shipping of its SR56•8 large-format console, designed for live sound mixing in markets such as churches, auditoriums, and large concert or sports venues.

The SR56•8 is Mackie's second large-format console. The Company's SR40•8, introduced early in 1997, successfully launched the Company into markets previously untouched by its compact mixers.
