LOUD TECHNOLOGIES INC. APPOINTS NEW VICE PRESIDENTS OF FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION

January 27, 2004 - Woodinville, Wash. - LOUD Technologies Inc. (OTCBB: LTEC) today announced the appointment of Glenn Walcott to the new position of Vice President, Finance and Accounting. At the same time, the company announced the appointment of Shawn Powers to the position of Vice President, Administration.

In his new role, Glenn Walcott will be responsible for the worldwide accounting and finance operations for LOUD Technologies Inc. Walcott brings to LOUD over 13 years of professional accounting experience, working most recently as Director of Finance for Blue Nile, a leading online retailer of diamonds and fine jewelry. Prior to that, Walcott worked in the Seattle office of Arthur Andersen, rising to Senior Audit Manager, where he primarily handled a diverse range of technology clients.

Shawn Powers will have global responsibility for human resources, information technology, sales administration, and facilities management. Powers brings to LOUD over 20 years of general management and operations experience, serving most recently as Vice President of Information Services for Trendwest Resorts. Powers is also an accomplished business consultant who has led consulting engagements with Andersen Consulting, now Accenture, and Cambridge Technology Partners. His corporate clients included Qwest Communications, Pacific Bell Mobile Services, Microsoft, and Virginia Mason.

Both Walcott and Powers will work from LOUD's Woodinville Washington headquarters and will report directly to Chief Financial Officer Tim O'Neil. "Both Glenn and Shawn are established executives with proven track records in their respective fields." said O'Neil. "We are excited to have both of these quality additions to our management team."
